My birthday fell on a Monday this year so we celebrated with a pre-birthday dinner on Sunday April 6th. We held it at our North Kansas City home. Jess barbecued steak, made mashed potatoes, cheese sauce and heated some asparagus. At the dinner were Jess, James, Heather, LaKai, our good neighbor/friend Ariela and myself.
I had a blast visiting with Heather and Ariela. It was great fun interacting with LaKai. She is such a smart little ball of energy. She is a super imitator. The pictures here are of the birthday celebration fun.
I appreciate all the awesome cooking Jess did for the event. He is my hero in many ways.

Your birthday looks like it was a lot of fun. I can't believe how much LaKai looks like Heather. She is sure growing up fast. I'm glad that you got a blog set up. It will be fun to be able to see how things are going in your life. I look forward to your future post. Love ya!
