Having fun in June!!

Seven Day Forecast on 6-29-2012

I do love summer even if it is very warm. I had my hair done on June 1 by one of my favorite people. Vall Villa has been doing my hair since July 2008.. She is a wonderful person and stylist. After I have my hair styled Jess usually takes pictures of it. He is a terrific friend, companion, partner and husband.
On June 5 I photographed two of the four raccoons that were living in the back yard under our shed for a while. It was fun to watch them. They were very curious critters.
I have acquired a fondness for Marilyn Monroe photos since Heather, one of my daughters, loves her so much. On June 8th I decided to make a Marilyn Monroe photo folder under My Documents/My Pictures on my computer.
Around the 10th of June I took photos of our plants that were blooming. Pictured above are: 1. Day Lily, 2. Purple Gladiola, 3. Orange Gladiola, 4. & 5. Blossoms on our Butterfly Bush and 6. Blooms on one of our Hibiscus bushes.
Volcanic Lightning is a happening that I became interested in. I didn't know that there was volcanic lightning. I made a Volcanic Lightning photo folder on June 16th.
Jess and I were invited and went to a BBQ on June 22nd put on by our car insurance company to celebrate their 20 years of being in business. It was a very nice event. We were able to meet a group of new people and had nice conversation. The food was beyond delicious.
As I have done each summer for a number of years, I signed up for and have been participating in more North Kansas City Community Center classes. It has been nice to go to the morning Deep Water Swim Classes. Being in the water refreshes me lots. During the month of June I have been able to go to the Friday morning Deep Water Swim Classes since we don't have summer school on Fridays.
June 28th was the last day of summer school so today June 29th is the first day of my summer break. I am off work until August 13th. The student's first day back to school will be August 21st.
We are having a HEAT WAVE that is not going to let-up any time soon but I plan on enjoying my summer in spite of the hot weather.
IT HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL JUNE!
