Winter Break 2011!!!

The excitement of the Christmas spirit along with the anticipation of a nice break from school filled the halls of Ravenwood today. I received many well wishes and gifts from co workers and students. It was a beautifully sunny day with mild temperatures. Jess and I mailed Christmas Packages that might even make it to their destinations before Christmas. I also enjoyed a crisp, brisk neighborhood walk seeing 6 squirrels along the way. Plus I stopped by to visit some dear friends of mine. It has been a fantastic December 21st, 2011.

Thanksgiving 2011!!!

I have so much to be thankful for each day. I am thankful for Jess, James, for other family members and friends. So grateful for Jesus and feel so happy to live where I do. I love the awesome nature that surrounds me.

November 2011 The View!!

On November 6, I took these photos. We are still seeing rich colors of fall. Our mum grows more full and larger each year. These are happy sites to me.

Augh I love fall!!!

Fall is beginning to show it's colors this year. As I went for my walk today I had such fun taking photos of the beautiful sights that I saw. There are so many lovely blooms out and fall foliage along with busy bees and intent squirrels. What a treat for my eyes. I love fall!!!

The August 20th 2011 Storm!!!

We had WIND and rain for the 2nd early morning in a row. This tree limb came down in front of my good friend and neighbors home directly across the street from our house It was a healthy non buggy tree limb before a big gust of wind blew it down.

After some debris removal Ariela looks at the embedded limb.

The hole that limb left. Ariela did have some water coming into her living room, staining the ceiling and dripping from the ceiling fan.

Amazingly it was into the roof up to the red arrow marked in the photo. Brandon is hold the limb.

Her gutter sustained some damage.

Jess had some extra roofing tiles that Phil put in place to patch the holes in Ariela's roof. We all helped with the sawing, piling, raking and sweeping up the mess. It felt good to be able to help Ariela. She made us a delicious breakfast to show her appriciation.
I love living in our neighborhood and working with our wonderful neighbors. It's so GOOD!
