Buffalo Bob!

One of the latest projects Jess and I have done together is the touching up of the murals on Buffalo Bob that we painted in the summer of 2005. It took about three weekend days for the touch ups to be completed. The best pictures we have of what the truck looked like before the touch ups were those taken of the truck taken when we went camping the last part of June. The buffalo were really fading. The red seems to be the first color to dim in the sun over time.

In the summer of 2005 Jess and I decided to paint prairie murals on our former U-Haul truck. We absolutely love the Midwest and it's scenery. Jess painted the backgrounds including the sky and the land. He also drew the Ham Shack and antenna. He painted the clouds and stenciled the "Buffalo Bob" name and our call signs. I drew the buffalo, grass, flowers and windmill. We had lots of fun working together on Buffalo Bob in 2005 and 2008.

Change!

My new hair style.

It is a lot shorter.

Myself and Jess at Quizno's

On August 8, 2008 I decided to have a new hair style. I had had my hair long for quite a while and wanted it cut shorter. I needed a change. I go to Fantastic Sams on N. Oak not far from our house. The stylist who had been cutting my hair was no longer there so my hair was transformed by Alesa. I love how it turned out. Whenever I get my hair done I worry about the outcome. I am thrilled with this result. So 8/8/08 was not only the beginning of the 2008 Summer Olympics, it was the day I had a fabulous hair cut. Thank you Alesa.

Yoga on the Lawn!

Beginners and the more experienced join together.

Same group another shot.

Beautiful gardens.

Lovely foliage.

I love these plants.

On Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 8 A.M. I had a wonderful experience. I was able to be part of a "Yoga on the lawn" practice. My instructor Henna invited all her students from each of her classes to participate in "Yoga on the lawn". Dolores volunteered Kathy's yard as just the right place for it. Kathy agreed and we had it in her beautiful yard.

It is hard to put into words how exhilarating it was to do Yoga amid nature. To hear the birds chirp, breathe the fresh morning air, see the spectacular sites of summertime nature and be among fellow Yogans was delightful.

Yoga is unlike anything I have ever done. It refreshes my entire being, renewing my mind, body and spirit. The exciting part is that I am learning how I can connect with myself inwardly and outwardly. I am discovering how to breathe to maximize my efforts, self awareness and calm. It helps me experience new spiritual levels. I feel surrounded by positiveness and love. I want to take those feelings with me through the rest of my day. It brings me closer to God.
