February 28 2009 Snow Storm

What a change our weather pattern is this winter from what it was last. Last winter we had a good deal of moisture fall. Precipitation came down it seemed from autumn 2007 into summer 2008. One significant ice storm we had I have included pictures of just above. If my memory serves me right we had 5 or 6 days off from school (snow days) because of weather conditions.

2008-2009 Midwest Winter so far

This winter season has been full of roller coaster temperatures due to Arctic Blasts that keep pelting our area sending our wind chills below 0 degrees. We have also experienced very unseasonably warm temps. of 50s, 60s and a few 70 degree days. Up until today we have had very little rain or snow and thankfully no ice storms. I know we are well below average precipitation for the season.

I am really looking forward to spring but have enjoyed watching the snow come down.
