Deer in the snow!!!

When I was on my walk in Macken Park NKC, MO on Saturday January 16th I had a nice surprise. I saw eight deer on the hillside next to the park. Before I got close to them I thought they were the wild turkeys I see occasionally on that hillside. As I realized what I was seeing were deer I was so excited. I wished I had my camera with me. Since I didn't I found the photo above that very much resembles the scene.

I marvel at nature and love witnessing it on my walks.

Still on our way to Lawrence.

Icicles stretching down the East side of our house Dec. 28th.

We have had quite a bit of snow this December. It is pretty. I am thankful I haven't had to drive in it though. The icicles are fun. They remind me of the icicles I saw when I was a child growing up in Ogden, Utah.
